NORTH HIGH WILDCAT PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS
THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER

North High Wildcat Productions will bring to life the familiar characters and scenes from Mark Twain’s famous novel when they present “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”  at 7:30 p.m. on January 22nd and 23rd in the North High School Performing Arts Center.    Cost is $4 for students and $6 for adults.

Funded in part by the Davenport Community Schools Foundation, two additional reduced-price matinee performances on those same days will be opened to students from classes around the Davenport Community Schools district who are currently reading the Mark Twain novel as part of their language arts curriculum. According to Helen Brennan, drama director at North, these special matinees are designed to give younger students an opportunity to experience Mark Twain’s stories in a different context.  “This is a good way to both strengthen and enhance the language arts curriculum featuring Twain’s novels.  Reading the novel and seeing the play will bring out even more aspects of Twain’s work,” she notes.

For ticket information for the evening performances, call North High School at 388-9880.
