CHILDREN’S VILLAGE AT HOOVER NAMED GOLD SEAL
CHILD CARE PROVIDER

The Children’s Village at Hoover, a program of the Davenport Community Schools, and the program’s director, Kathy Erickson, has been named a Gold Seal child care provider by the Iowa Early Care, Health and Education Congress.

The Gold Seal Award is presented to licensed child care centers that have achieved accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children.  “These providers have demonstrated their commitment to providing high quality child care for children” said Jody Caswell, Iowa Department of Human Services program manager.

The Children’s Village at Hoover is a collaborative effort in cooperation with Davenport Community Schools, Head Start and the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency.  It is an early learning center for children ages six weeks to five years of age and is housed in a former elementary school.
