BLUE GRASS ELEMENTARY TEACHER RECEIVES 2005 EXCELLENCE IN SCIENCE TEACHING AWARD

Travis Benner, science teacher at Blue Grass Elementary has been named the recipient of the 2005 Excellence in Science Teaching Award from the Iowa Academy of Science.

Mr. Brenner will receive his award on Friday, April 28th in Mt. Vernon, Iowa.  According to Ernest Schiller, Director of the ESTA program of the Iowa Academy of Science, Mr. Brenner’s award “speaks not only for your own accomplishments, but those of your supporting school district and community as well.” In addition to an honorary plaque, Mr. Brenner will also receive a check for $200.
