When Students Can Visit the Library

1. With their language arts classes to select books for recreational reading

2. With social studies and science teachers to do research

3. With a pass from a teacher

4. After school until 3:50

Library Circulation

Students may have two items (books, magazines or audio tapes) checked 

out at a time.  Items are checked out for two weeks.  We do not charge 

overdue fines for items that are returned late.  However, students are 

encouraged to return items or re-new them when they are due.

We will charge replacement costs if an item is not returned or is damaged to the extent that we need to remove it from the collection.

Helpful Hints in Caring for Books:

1. Do not loan a library book to a friend.  When you check it out, YOU are responsible for it.

2. Don’t leave your library books in a classroom, cafeteria or locker room.

3. Wash your hands before handling a book. 

4. Do not read while you are eating or near food or beverages.

5. Use bookmarks (there are always free ones available in the library!)
