January 2012 Dr. Marrietta Castle performed as Mary Todd Lincoln at Walcott School. She spoke to Walcott 5th graders about life with Abe in the White House.

Walcott Veterinarians

Walcott veterinarians Dr. Garvin and Dr. Schaffer visited Walcott School and spoke to elementary students about animal care. Students enjoyed seeing the veterinarians' dogs and how a well-animal visit is conducted.

Niabi Zoo Education Director

Sharon Freedman, Education Director from Niabi Zoo, visited with Walcott 3rd grade students in December, 2009. She discussed Niabi Zoo's work with red wolves, an endangered species. Niabi Zoo has three red wolves in captivity.
