Leap Day Library Contest - Feb. 29!

In celebration of Leap Year 2012 giving us an extra day to read, the Walcott School Library held a Leap Day Library Contest. Each day during the week of Feb. 29th students could put their name in the drawing to win one of two autographed young adult novels. 

Congratulations to Veronica Augustine and Nathan Prunchak for winning the Intermediate Leap Day library book drawing. Both students received an autographed young adult novel. Veronica received Forever by Maggie Stiefvater and Nathan received The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff.

Past Reading Contests

Intermediate reading students who met their reading goals were chosen from a drawing to go to Barnes & Noble bookstore by limousine to select books for the school library. Each student spent $50 on books. Funding for this project was through a Scott County Regional Authority Grant.
