QUAD CITY ENGINEERING AND SCIENCE COUNCIL, DEADLINE JANUARY 28, 2012.  Requirements for Eligibility:  Must be a high school senior or a freshman or sophomore in College.  Also must be a resident of Mercer, Rock Island, Henry, Whiteside, Clinton, Scott, Muscatine, or Louisa County.  Student must plan to study Engineering or Science at an accredited four-year college or university.  The Quad City and Engineering Science Council Scholarship was established and administered by the Council.  This one-time grant of between $1,000 and $3,000 is awarded on an objective basis without regard to race, sex, or religion.  Criteria include academics, civic/community service, extracurricular involvement, and career focus.
AMERICAN SOCIETY OF HEATING, REFRIGERATING AND AIR-CONDITIONING ENGINEERS, INC. SCHOLARSHIP, DEADLINE APRIL 27, 2012.  ASHRAE scholarships are designed to encourage and assist heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration education through the granting of a scholarship at the undergrad level.  We will accept applications from all students entering an engineering program. One scholarship of $1,000 will be awarded.
ROTARY CLUB OF DAVENPORT SCHOLARSHIP, DEADLINE MARCH 1, 2012.  In 2012 one student from each of the high schools in Davenport: Assumption, Central, North, and West will be awarded a scholarship.  Four scholarships totaling $10,000 and one $16,000.  These scholarships are awarded annually. To be eligible to apply, an applicant must be a senior student currently enrolled in a Davenport High school.  The applicant must have at least a 3.0 GPA at the end of the junior year in high school.  The student must have shown growing interest in college preparatory studies and have been active within the school community.  Applications can be found at www.davenportroatry.org.
DONALD KISER MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP, ILLINOIS-IOWA SECTION of THE AMERICAN CHEMICAL SOCIETY-DEADLINE APRIL 1, 2012.  The Donald Kiser Scholarship is a one-year, non-renewable merit based award in the amount of $750.  Applicants must be a resident of one of the following counties in Illinois: Bureau, Carroll, Henderson, Henry, Jo Davies, Mercer, Rock Island, Warren or Whiteside.  In Iowa: Clinton, Dubuque, Jackson, Muscatine, or Scott.  St. Ambrose University will match this scholarship for the student’s sophomore, junior, and senior year if the recipient attends that university.  Applicant must be pursuing studies in chemistry, biochemistry, or chemical engineering.
ROBERT D. BLUE SCHOLARSHIP, DEADLINE MAY 10, 2012.  Applicants must be an Iowa resident planning to attend an Iowa college/university during the 2012-2013 school year.  Each applicant is graded upon their high school GPA, financial need, references, and their essay, these four components consists of 25% of the grade. BEST BUY @ 15 SCHOLARSHIPS, DEADLINE FEBRUARY 15, 2012.  1,000 scholarship of $1,000 each will be awarded to 15, 9 thru 12 grades students living in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.  Students need solid grades, involved in volunteer community service or work experience.  Visit our website or apply on line at www.at15.com.
I H MISSISSIPPI VALLEY CREDIT UNION, DEADLINE MARCH 1, 2012.  IH Mississippi Valley CU offers 24, $1,000 scholarships each year.  The student is required to be a member of the IH Mississippi Valley CU.  If the student is not currently a member, his or her parents must be members with us for at least one year.  At this time the student would also have to join the credit union.  Applications and details are available on our web site, www.ihmvcu.org Go to About Us>Scholarships.
RIA FEDERAL CREDIT UNION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM, DEADLINE FEBRUARY 15, 2012.  RIA CU will award three $1,000 scholarships for the 2012-2013 school year. The scholarships are to be awarded to individuals who demonstrate academic excellence, citizenship, community, school involvement and a Credit Union member.  An individual may join RIA for the sole purpose of eligibility.  You may print an application from our website at www.riafcu.com under About Us/What’s New.
UPPER IOWA UNIVERSITY STUDENTS OF EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIP.  Upper Iowa Univ. is proud to offer full tuition scholarships, renewable for up to four years, to eligible First Year students through an invitation-only completive event. Eligibility: Must have ACT composite if 26 and above or an SAT of 1170 and above (CR+M). Must have an un-weighted cumulative high school GPA of 3.5 and above. Must have applied and been admitted on or before FEBRUARY 1, 2012.

Kathryn Bell Tate Scholarship One $12,000 award given annually ($3,000 per year for four years) to the son or daughter of a full-time Davenport Schools employee. Betty Nelson Career Technical Scholarship Four $500 awards per year, when funding is available; one to each high school and the Kimberly Center. Jane Grady Memorial Scholarship for Academic Excellence* One $5,000 award per year, distributed in $1,200 installments over four years to a graduating female student who is proficient in English, math and science. Marie Linke Powell Scholarship* DSF awards one $1,000 non-renewable scholarship per year to a senior planning to major in education. Deadline is April 4. Scholarships specific to WEST High School:
Brad Peck Memorial Scholarship There is no application process for this award. Nominees and winners are chosen by a committee. One $300 scholarship is given to a graduating boy who is in band and either swimming or football. Deadline is April 15. Contact Louis Means, West counseling office, at 563-386-5500.
Brian Keppy Memorial Scholarship One $500 award is given each year to a graduating senior. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA, played football and shown dedication to weight room.
