The foundation’s mission is to provide resources beyond the district’s operating budget so students can experience learning-in-action, beyond the classroom, through the Great Minds Program and Classroom Mini-Grants. Educational experts tell us that students who participate in experiential learning feel empowered to use their knowledge and skills in contexts that will aid in their career development. Experiential learning also provides students with transferable skills such as creativity, innovation, team collaboration, problem-solving, and critical thinking.
The Davenport Community School District is the most diverse district in Scott County and 3 out of 4 students reside in low-income households. The foundation’s partnership with the district ensures that all students have access to enrichment opportunities otherwise impossible.
We celebrate the generosity of our donors by sharing testimonials and philanthropy impact stories. May these stories inspire you to make a difference in the lives of students in the district today.
